Tradescantia thrive best in bright, indirect light, which is essential for maintaining their vibrant foliage colours and preventing them from becoming leggy. Too little light can cause their striking white variegation to fade into a dull green, whereas harsh, direct midday sun can easily scorch their delicate leaves. For optimal growth, placing them near an east- or west-facing window where they can enjoy a few hours of gentle morning or late afternoon sun yields the most lush and colorful results.
