Dendrobium nobile is a sympodial, cane-forming orchid. It grows thick, upright, reed-like stems called "canes" that store water and nutrients.

The stems can reach a height of 30-60cm and the leaves grow along the sides of the cane.

The flowers grow in clusters of 2-4 along the upper part of the canes and typically feature white or pastel petals of pink, magenta, violet and have a deep purple "throat". Blooms can last 4-6 weeks if received appropriate care.

Dendrobium nobile require bright, indirect light and prefer temperatures between 20-30°C. Rest (keep in cooler conditions of 10-13°C) in Autumn/Winter for 4-6 weeks to trigger new blooms.

Water generously in the warmer months but do not allow the roots to sit in water.
