Cymbidiums are prized for their elegant, long-lasting blooms and their reputation for being "tougher" than many of their finicky tropical cousins.

They produce long, narrow, grass-like leaves that grow in a fan-like spray. The blooms are waxy and large, appearing on tall upright or arching spikes. A single spike can hold anywhere from 10 to over 25 individual flowers.

Cymbidiums require bright, dappled sunlight and the soil must remain consistently moist but not soggy.
