The Calathea Yellow Fusion is a striking houseplant known for its dramatic foliage. The plant features large, lance-shaped leaves with a captivating color palette. Whilst mostly vibrant green and lime, some leaves showcase marbling of creamy yellow or pale gold. The lighter areas often contrast sharply against the darker green veining, creating a stunning variegated effect.
Calathea Yellow Fusion tends to grow in a compact, bushy manner, making it an ideal choice for indoor environments. It usually reaches about 30–50 cm in height.
This plant prefers medium to bright indirect light and high humidity. It’s sensitive to direct sunlight, which can easily bleach or scorch its delicate leaves. Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy, and ensure it’s in a well-draining pot. Calatheas are also known for their sensitivity to minerals in tap water, so using distilled, rain, or filtered water can be beneficial. It thrives in warm conditions, ideally between 18–27°C. Avoid exposing it to cold drafts or sudden temperature changes.
