Anthurium andraeanum, commonly known as flamingo flower or painter's palette, is a tropical flowering plant. It is prized for its showy flowers and glossy, dark green leaves that are shaped like elongated hearts.

The flowers of Anthurium andraeanum are typically bright red, but they can also be pink, white, orange, or even green. The blooms are waxy and consist of a long, narrow spadix (the stalk that holds the flowers) surrounded by a colorful, heart-shaped spathe (the modified leaf that encloses the spadix). The spathes are often glossy and can range in size from 5 to 15 centimeters.

Anthurium andraeanum is a relatively easy plant to care for and can thrive in a warm, humid environment with bright, indirect light. It prefers well-draining soil that is kept consistently moist but not waterlogged. Anthuriums are often grown as houseplants, but they can also be grown outdoors in tropical or subtropical climates.
