Alocasia Melo, also known as Alocasia 'Rugosa' or the "Jewel Alocasia," is a striking tropical plant recognized for its thick, leathery leaves with a unique, deeply textured surface resembling rugged terrain. The leaves are a deep green colour with prominent veins, giving the plant a bold and exotic appearance. Alocasia Melo is relatively compact compared to other Alocasia, making it an ideal choice for indoor gardening.

Alocasia Melo thrives in bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves. It can tolerate lower light levels, but growth may slow down. Water the plant when the top inch of soil feels dry. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Ensure the pot has drainage holes to prevent root rot. Reduce watering during the plant's dormant period in the winter.
