Chrysanthemums are a popular plant for gift giving, particularly at Mother's Day. Their brightly coloured flowers come in a range of colours, sizes and shapes.

Use a well-draining soil and keep the soil evenly moist, but not waterlogged. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch. Ideally Chrysanthemums prefer a sunny location that receives at least six hours of direct sunlight per day.

Pinch back growth every few weeks to encourage bushier growth and more blooms.
